TESTit - it's the only way to be sure
|
For a safe, precise and productive manufacturing process a regular check of the actual workholding clamping force being achieved is indispensable. The extremely capable and easy to use TESTit clamping force gauge is capable of measuring clamping forces greater than 200kN. TESTit is the only device currently capable of measuring internal and external workholding systems, such as mandrels and manual/powered jaw or collet chucks.
In operation, the new TESTit gauge is completely wireless with all the clamping force values transmitted via Bluetooth to a display device, such as a smart phone, desktop or tablet PC, or PDA with the appropriate software installed. Featuring automatic sensor recognition and a Li-ion rechargeable battery for more than 5 hours of operating time, the TESTit clamping force gauge can be used to measure stationary or rotating holding forces both internally and externally.

First past the post
In production engineering anything that can save time or removes an operation also saves money.

Bison’s quick change toolposts allow quick and easy to set ups, providing a flexible approach to machining and giving significant savings in set up times. Up to three tools can be used per set up and the indexing facility allows a single tool to be used for turning, facing and chamfering.

Also, fast and simple centre height adjustment eliminates the need for packing pieces. While the quick change toolpost offers benefits within a production environment its greatest gains are found with one off jobs that cannot be set up for production.
Based on probably the best known and most widely used quick change toolpost, first produced by ‘Dickson’ in the UK, the Bison range uses high quality steel, hardened and ground, finished to very close tolerances and produced in a variety of sizes to suit lathes from 89 mm (3.5-inch) to 292 mm (11.5-inch) centre height. A variety of toolholders are available to take standard – square and vee, parting, boring and Morse taper bits.

GET MORE OUT OF YOUR MACHINES
Are you already pushing your machining centre to its maximum limits and is the work is still queuing up?
A cost-effective alternative to the capital outlay required to purchase another machine, the IRAM 2000 Module System vices for vertical and horizontal machining centres.
Part of IRAM’s range of modular vices, the Module Cube 2000 for horizontal machining centres and the Module Vertical Vice 2000 for vertical machining centres are among the most flexible available.
The Vertical Vice range is available in various lengths from 284 mm up to 809 mm, to suit the axis travels of the machine tool.
Adapted for pallet mounting, the Cube range stacks raw material on each face of the cube to maximise
productivity. With a fixed length and width of 206 mm various heights, from 240 mm up to 985 mm, can be specified.
