In a bold move that is designed to support future business growth workholding specialist, Leader Chuck Systems, has outsourced its consignment stockholding and forwarding distribution to a professional logistics company.

Managing director, Mark Jones, explains the reasoning behind the decision. “With the growth of business provided by new product ranges and the internet, and the imminent launch of our new e-commerce website, we took a strategic decision to put our consolidated shipments and subsequent forwarding services in the hands of a professional logistics company.

“This move will allow us to concentrate on what we are good at, providing pre and post sales technical workholding support and advice,” he says.

With the recent addition of several new workholding solutions providers, including Polish workholding manufacturer Bison-Bial, Mark Jones knew that Leader’s previous warehouse would be facing capacity issues. “When we assumed responsibility for the sale of Bison’s extensive cost-effective product range in the UK, which included holding stock of popular items and spare parts, it was one of the catalysts for us to positively change the way in which we function.”

Offering more than twice the storage capacity of its previous warehouse, Leader’s new distribution logistics facilities in Leamington Spa are centrally located. With extremely good access routes to the motorway network they will support a prompt delivery service for customers requiring fixturing solutions.

The company’s sales office and administration functions will now be located in a new office in Tamworth, with the existing geographical sales engineers being retained to service customers across the country.
