Leader strengthens the industrial heartland

In order to support a recently signed agency for the sales of the cost-effective Bison manual chuck range, as well as the steady flow of new products from its major principal Hainbuch and its own expanding fixturing portfolio, Tamworth-based Leader Chuck Systems has appointed a new Technical Sales Engineer. Will Hare will represent the specialist workholding company in the industrial heart of the UK.

Having completed detailed product training with Leader, Will Hare is looking forward to supporting existing customers within his geographic area as well as developing new business opportunities with the Bison range – formerly known as Toolmex in the UK. Covering Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, East Anglia, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, Will Hare says: “I am very excited to be involved with Leader Chuck’s award-winning product range, which has an enviable reputation in the engineering sector, in terms of the quality of the products and the high levels of professional service applied to each and every customer. I am looking forward to introducing the cost-effective but extremely robust Bison range, which includes manual 2-, 3-, 4- and 6-jaw lathe chucks, as well as machine vices, milling fixtures and VDI toolholders, to medical, aerospace and automotive companies at a time when every capital investment decision has to be carefully considered.”

He joins Chris Watson and Shaun Fairclough who are responsible for customers based in the South East and North East respectively. Mark Jones, Leader Chuck Systems’ managing director, says: “I am extremely pleased that our customers will have access to the combined pool of knowledge that Will, Chris and Shaun can offer, along with an expanding range of products to provide the ideal engineering solution.”

Will Hare has over four decades of engineering experience with an in-depth knowledge of chucks and component fixturing. Having completed a formal engineering apprenticeship, which included attaining a HNC in production engineering, he subsequently gained hands-on machine shop experience with an aerospace subcontract supplier before working for a number of workholding manufacturers.

Mark Jones concludes: “With the new Bison agency we have even more productive options and cost-effective solutions for manufacturing companies facing fixturing/workholding issues. We see the improved service levels customers get by having our experienced staff effectively on their doorstep as vital to enhancing the enviable reputation Leader has in the market. In fact, this is why we are seeking more staff of the right calibre to appoint as additional Technical Sales Engineers, for the West of the country and to cover Scotland.”
